Adventure is my passion. I have always enjoyed training and leading people
on polar expeditions and with arctic travel it provides a very pure existence that
has a strange way of enticing you back for more.
During the past few years I have travelled extensively through the worst, and best
of Arctic conditions.
While I will always be learning, I have refined my skills to be an effective and
efficient leader.
Of course, I have been "getting lost" most of my life; from traveling abroad and
working operationally for the British Army. I then went on to the Fire and Rescue
Service where I worked alongside professional rescue teams and experienced a different
side of life.
In my free time I enjoy creating my own escapes including Trekking in the Himalays
to weekend mountaineering trips in the English Lake District to cycling across USA
in 2006.
I also enjoy leading and instructing at outdoor education centres - dealing with
groups from primary schools to corporate teams. Part of the instructing is providing
talks aimed at both schools and corporate audiences. For further details see the Educational & Corporate Speaking page.
I am very proud that in creating Snowball Expeditions I have been able to open doors
for people to experience something uniquely incredible.
